the book i read

The Big Read reckons that the average adult has only read 6 of the top 100 books they've printed.

Instructions:

-Look at the list and bold those you have read.
-Italicize those you intend to read.
-Underline the books you LOVE or if you can't put a note at the end. (Blogger doesn't have underlining, so I'm starring these.)
-And, just for fun, change the font color of those you have seen the movie version.
-Reprint this list in your blog so we can try and track down these people who've read 6 and force books upon them

Bean said she read 28-33, she's not sure on some! I think I have read 25. A few I have on my shelf to be read, I just haven't got to them yet. I guess we read a bit more than the *average* family!! Imagine that!

Well, I've read 30, but there were several that I started to read and didn't finish because either they were just flat out boring or I got weirded out from reading it. I got through about half of 1984 and stopped reading it cuz it was just depressing! There are also several on the list that were made into movies and I've seen them. Vanity Fair, Charlie and Chocolate Factory, Bleak House, Hitch Hiker's Guide, Memoirs of a Geisha, Dune, Cold Comfort Farm, Anne of Green Gables, etc. I'm kind of funny because if I've seen a movie before I read the book and I really enjoyed the movie, then most of the time I won't read the book because I don't want to get disappointed in the movie. I know its sad, but its the truth:)

The high numbers your friends have prove that you are all not at all *average* or *normal*....but we have known that to be true for years!! =)

Awesome list of books. I have read 23 and (like so many) own several of the others and need to read them. Some of these I have not heard of and will definitely have to check out.
